Mando, don't do it black, the dust will drive you crazy. I am a fan of the orange with black stripes, something different, or the blue and white. This GT40 is in blue and white looks amazing in the light and is different, it's a motorcycle colour. I always thought yours would be silver with grey/silver stripes for some reason.

Steve, I really like the Blue/White combination on the GT40. Ive seen it on a couple of Cobras and love it. If I decided to go "unusual", I guess I would pick the orange/black combination.

Regards.

I've got a hand painted Cobra poster in a very similar light blue. Holden have a similar 'turismo blue' that I think came out with the VY. It's non-metallic too.

Yea, Sambo my VZ ute is in the Turismo colour, it's really different, I didn't like the turismo in the sedans but I liked the colour in the ute, it would be interesting on a cobra. I don't really think that there is a bad colour on a cobra the lines and shape just seem to look good no matter what however I don't like metallic colours on Cobras but thats just my opinion, to each their own.

Bunnings green is the 'new' racing green in my book.

Non metallic greens such as BRG and Sherwood Green can really look good. I restored a 1960 MGA in BRG.

Steve,

Turismo is the colour I am painting my Cobra, only I have included heaps of 'Pearl' in with the paint. The car goes for painting in under a fortnight and the process including a couple of coats of 'Clear' then 'Flow Coating' will take about 5 weeks.

I have chosen silver/grey stripes for the body in the identical design and pattern to those shown in the photo below.

Regards
Baz
