Chris, I run 34 psi on my late model VW GTI and during an advanced driving day at Sandown they put everyone's tyres up to 38. I won't hazard a guess at the ideal pressure for your Cobra, but whatever you go with, don't rely on the accuracy of the pressure gauge at the servo... they've been known to be out by 5-10 psi. We were told this can be due to the hose being shortened to fix a leak and not being recalibrated, among other reasons. Food for thought!
