Default jag rear ends

Gday Guys
Im new to this forum and had a question.
Can anyone tell me if there is any difference between the XJ6 series 2 and the series 3 rear ends.

The XJS 89-95 H.E. (high effciency) with aluminum rear cover is a good heavy duty unit.
I have one in mine. A stock one is 2.88 but you can have it changed to the ratio of your choice.

I am no expert on this by any means, but I believe that the inner axle on the Series III is longer than the XKE Series I/II length. This is of particular significance to ERA owners, but it might not be to you. You might also want to get an opinion on this from somebody who really knows what they're doing (and not just me).
