I've got a seat belt delay circuit that fits inside the warning light. Looks just like one of the regular warning lights. It lights for 15 seconds when you turn the key and then turns off.
Very easy to set up and you wouldn't know it was there.
I've got the dash out at the moment. I'll try remember to take a pic of it tonight.

A place in Queensland makes them complete with bezzel. I asked for a couple of just the circuit boards out of them and grafted one into one of my bezzels.

I though that some may be interested in the dash from a 'real' Cobra up the road from here (two of them at Bowdens at Bli Bli). Makes me feel better!

Our layouts are very similar, but they are Cobras ....

true - but I reckon Ive seen more non standard layouts as I have traditional. Probably no wronger then putting a chev in it.

Tenrocca, have you had the dash in place with the steering column complete with shroud in position? My shroud wouldnt slip into the hole in the dash due to the extra thickness created by 2 layers of leather and stitching. I hope you have better luck than I did.
Im really like your layout being a fan of the traditional look. I was wondering what the extra switches are if your wipers, indicators, lights and high beam are on the column?
By the way you can easily see the difference in the heights of our dashes if you compare the amount of leather above the gauge on the far right on your dash with mine. I narrowed my dash to get more room.

Mando, I put the headlight and wiper switching on the dash. Ive flipped the barina indicator stalks around, and just left the indicator stalk (so its on the left as I wasnt happy with the clearance with the door on the right) . I turned up a slimmer stalk that slides over the barina one - and it only controls indicators and high beams, not headlights. I made a slightly slimmer shroud out of fibreglass that only has the hole for the one stalk. It does fit in the hole even with the leather, although Im not sure on what to finish it with. I had painted it the alumnium colour, but am thinking it might look better wrapped in leather too, which would make it really snug fit.
You can sorta see the new stalk and shroud in this old pic:
The five switches on the dash are heater\fan, windscreen washers, wipers, headlights and hazard. The orange light nest to the temp is engine check light (MIL)- everything else looks pretty much the same as yours.

hey mando you running the sm4 alone or the cdi with it too
what u should do is get a small stereo mic extension
plug it into the sm4 and screw the other end into yr glovebox or dash
makes it easier when it comes to tuning
u dont have to fiddle round under the dash

Tenrocca, after seeing something painted with wrinkle finish by Aussie Mike or Boxhead, I cant remember who, I painted my shroud in black wrinkle. Believe it or not its the one thing Im most happy with everytime I see it, I just love the 60's look it has.

Slow down Sideshow, what is a cdi and when you say "easier when it comes to tuning" do you mean the engine or something to do with the radio?

the cdi is capacitive dischrge ignition
like an msd but much better
the tunign side fo it i was talking bout is when u tune the sm4 u need to plug in a cable from yr laptop to the ecu
i always fit a small extension and leave it in the car plug it into the sm4 then u dont have to stuff arund near the ecu u just plug in the cable to the ext that sits in the glovebox
i guess yr auto electrician would know how to do this anyway

Not sure Mando I know you have to run boost (supercharged or turbo) to the SM4 and the fuel regulator...

if u tune the neigne with throttle sensor then i think u leave it unplugged
and it is then used as a barometric sensor
if u run a boosted engine u need it connected to measure boost and u then tune the enigne using vacuum/boost
if u have multiple throttle bodies and boost u then tune it using throttle up untill 0vac/0boost then once u go onto boost u tune it using the vac sensor or map sensor as its called
i think they will tune yr enigne using throttle as its a tad more prescise when its non boosted when compared to using the map sensor
so maybe leave it off but check with yr tuner he might want it connected so he can measure vacuum
weve starte dplaying with ls1 ecus more these days
see what else we can fit them too
plus we are making ls1 dual tune ecus
should be a good thing flick a switch and u go from std tune to a performance tune
