Thanks Pete,

Those wheels are all I could afford after paying for the paint job..... Just Joking.
Unfortunately, you won't see the car at brekky this Sunday, but you'll get the next best thing... ME.

These are the real wheels........

Nice wheels Baz, what size and what tyres front and rear? They are different treads I note.

Looks like the older Sumitomo HTR-Z rears and newer HTR-Z2 on the front. Unfortunately they don't make the HTR-Z2 in 315/35/17. I'm running the same tyres for the street but I opted to get the matching HTR-Z tyres for the front. That way the tread pattern is the same all round.

Cheers

Thanks Stephen,

315/35/17HTR Z rear AND 255/45/17 HTR Z II front and they are Sumitomos. Apparently the tread pattern on the front disperses the water and makes steering a lot easier in the wet. Reports are that they perform well under all conditions.

Hmmmmm...nice, they do look like Vintage and the pic just reinforces my desire to go 17" with good rubber down the track.

I'll tart up the 15" rims I have for now and get the right series tyres to the front until the right timing for a change arises. Probably based on a good US exchange rate timing I guess.

With a 15" to 17" change do I need to worry too much about changes to ride height and overall wheel fit within the arch type issues?

Or does it just take a little bit of tweaking to make the change over?

Cheers

Baz, that car may have an identity crisis. Do I see a Ford (427) badge on the side and a Chevy donk under the bonnet?
