I was raised at Carina .... now gone all fancy and called Carindale. Where the Carindale shopping center is now was once a wool scour. I remember long, deep trenches full of carcasses laced with all manner of chemicals which killed the grass all the way to Bulimba creek.

I suppose the best thing to do with noxious land is concrete over all of it and turn it into a shopping center.

Those chemicals should have made their way to Victoria point by now.

Well paid money today for the motive force......so I'm $8500 outa pocket but got a Boss 260 with 50k's on it with a 6 speed, engine loom, computer, ABS engine, Steering column with wheel & keys, fuel pump, pedal box tailshaft and a bunch of other stuff that I could well need.
The engine sounds real strong, has a Herrod racing helix & a new set of extractors & sounds like its got cams as well !
I think that paid a fair price especially with what I'm getting with it

Have you seen how tight a fit it is in a drb2000 which is designed to fit one? You are in for a world of pain.....

Does that red bit on top come standard on all of the V8s in the current Fords?
I like the way it sits in the engine bay.

Regards.

Hi Roger,

I'm the one with the blue / silver striped DRB at Alex Hills - you're welcome to come and have a close look, but not sure whether it will help with your Harrison / huge 260 build.

I was talking to a certain V8 racing driver last year who was looking at doing a similar implant - may be he can offer some advice - he lives at Kilcoy, but spends most of the year travelling!

Take no notice of Les - he used to be a nice fellow then he crossed over!

Seriously you have to question his sanity - would you live in an area where the pelicans sh$t on you all the time?

Would add that the QLD cobra guys are the most helpful bunch of renegades you'll find anywhere - unfortunately I don't get down to Sanctuary Cove very often (Wazza chimes in - never!) as it interferes with my nocturnal habits - sleeping!!

That reminds me - Wazza, are the yearly subscriptions due?

My car unfortunately sits in the garage more often than I would please, but I do occassionally wash it and take it for a spurt. Hopefully I'll be attending Indy (Nitro GP - doesn't quite sound right) in October (if Wazza lets me) so may see you there.

Good luck with the build!

I agree with all of that Peter. I had lots of help along the way, especially with the wiring - from Les and Geof. Everyone's car is always that little bit different and there is always something that throws things out until you understand why.

I am not sure about the pelican's down Les's way but I have heard another description of that area as (my memory weakens here ... ) "Ipswixx by the sea" or similar?

Totally unfounded - both ways!

And yes - when are subscriptions due? Is our money not good enough or is more needed to accommodate the President's extravagant and elegant lifestyle?

Merv

Oi Uncle Pete, I'm still a nice fellow, just ask me, I'll tell ya.

As to the pelicans . Thanks to engineering types like you they are soon to double in number courtesy of the extra bridge.

Funny you should make comment as to the toilet habits of these pelicans as one recently made a deposit onto a mate of mine caught in a traffic snarl on that very bridge.

So all pelicans have been sent off for retraining so they can properly identify Southsiders from those of us who live on the Northside.

Anyways, good to hear from you .. Hope you and your family are doing well.
