Baz the rubber caps for the pinchmould from the Healey Factory seem too small. At least the ones I received were. I believe that there are other shapes and sizes.

Thanks Merv,
Yes, your right. They are not what I'm looking for. Thanks for the help. I think I'll have some made from polished stainless steeel. Thanks again for your trouble.

Merv,
Called into Neils Streeting's this afternoon on the way home from golf and was greeted by a great surprise. The polished Pinchweld Covers have been completed and look great on the car. I'm really happy with the way they finish off the trim job.
Also, I had my LS2 engine cover away being modified . It's back and sitting on the motor. It has the words "COBRA" lasered onto polished stainless plaques which sit on the top of each side of the motor covering the tappets and the numerals '6.0' lasered onto the front centre of the Engine Cover where the original GM lion emblem was once located. Looks sensational, BUT I DIDN'T HAVE MY CAMERA WITH ME. Will post some pics of the Pinchweld dressings and the Engine Cover as soon as I can.
Baz.

Thanks Baz. Looking forward to seeing those and getting a price also, if possible. Had my wheel balance today and getting the suspension set up Friday. It's all coming together!

Sorry to take so long Merv, but here they are. Neil Streeting had these specially made up to fit an RMC. As you probably know, Harrisons, Classic Revivals, G Force etc., etc., all have different mouldings around the inner doors so that is why no body as bothered to specialise in these particular Pinchweld Caps. From what Neil tells me, they are really labour intensive to make from Stainless Steel and take approximately 1 hour for each of the four constructed. The sheet of stainless has to be bent to match the curve of the Pinchweld, cut to size then a top piece shaped and welded on, the joints smoothed out then the piece polished. He estimates that they would cost around $30 each.
I told him that you are interested and he suggested you ring him on (02) 9520-5006 or email him on streeto@tpg.com.au to discuss your options.
At any rate, here are mine and I'm wrapped in the way they turned out.
Pinchweld Cap fitted to the rear of the door opening.
Pinchweld Cap fitted to the front of the door opening.
The original engine cover had the words "LS2 - 6 LITRE" embossed in red lettering above each tappet cover. That lettering has been removed and polished stainless steel plaques with the lasered words "COBRA" fitted to each side. In the centre front, the "GM Lion" has been removed and the numerals "6.0" lasered onto a circular stainless steel plaque.

Mate. I've planned every detail of this car over the last 45 years. The only thing that's changed in my planning has been forced on me through Regulatory changes and updates to ADR's in respect of engine choice, seats etc. It will be mine until they put me in the box and after that, it goes to my grandson. Thanks for your kind words.

Well done Baz (and Neil)! The thickness and size of the body moulding may vary, but the pinch weld should be the same.
Where is the Ford logo on the engine? Geez, what is the world coming to! Is an LS motor (new/ish) needed in NSW now? I believe that some engineers will no longer work with the RTA. We still have the option up here in the North, but for how long I am not sure. We really are over regulated in this country - more like Sweden every day. Making a re-creation of an original is becoming almost impossible in every way.
