Default Jaguar Diffs

G'day all

I have an opportunity to get a few Jag diff centres in from the old dart later this year. They will be without the hubs and drive shafts, just the centre housing with the disks hanging off them. I figure those that may be interested have all the other stuff ( eg calipers ) anyway. They will be only LSD's and the choice of ratios is good. I paid $600 about 8 years ago ( Jagdaim in Melb) for a LSD 3;54 ratio centre & housing that is currently in my car and if I cant keep the cost very close to that I wont bother.
My question is, is that a competitive price for one of these ........and if so, is anyone interested ?

Also while Im at it I have a new motor getting built with considerably more go than the standard 302 im running now. I have been advised the standard Jag diff will not live with the new motor. I dont wish to be cutting and putting a new rear in. Does anyone know what options are available to retain the Jag housing and who can do the mods or supplies goods needed for it to stand up.The new engine will have approx 600 bhp.

Any help & advice appreciated.
Cheers
Chris L

If you have a question about a relatively 'standard' part you can bet there's been some discussion on it....

Rear end ratings.

Broken Jag rear - WARNING!

Hi Chris, my rear end centre is an alloy 9 inch set up that fits into the Jag independent rear end. Diff Technics in Sydney built it, but it wasnt cheap. Give me a call oer send me a message if you need more details,

Andy.
