Rear Mirror Slider Fixing
Have just taken delivery of a mirror and slider assembly from Finishline thus:
Does anyone know how this is fixed - is it like this?:
If so I can see some problems;- if it is a tight fixing the flexing of the windscreen may work on the fibreglass and damage it. If it is not a tight fixing there will be a rattle. May need a rubber grommit?
What have other people found successful?
Regards
Martin

There is a channel on the center of the top edge of the windscreen frame that the soft top front bow locks into. It then clips down one each side of the frame.
I believe that angle bracket pictured is supposed to screw to the bottom edge of the windscreen frame as well as the body. It's job is to stop the soft top from lifting the top edge of the windscreen frame away from the glass.
Cheers

Mike's right again, I haven't drilled the holes into the body or the screen yet but I remember thinking what a pain this job would be!
Regards.

It is a good job to do with the windscreen out of the car.

Can a soft top be fitted without that restraint along the header rail?

I just went to fit that mirror to a car and found the back of the clamp was touching the windscreen. It looks like I'll have to turn the back of it off to clear. The rod went straight down with the nuts on it, not bent. The bracket tied into/under the bottom winsheild centre bracket. I'll try and get a good close up of it today.

My windscreen frame has the holes in the bottom already drilled and tapped with a thread.

I actually received a bracket with my windscreen that attaches to those screws and holds the bototm of the widnscreen down?.
Maybe the bracket Martin has attaches to the bracket I have?

Where in Oz can I get the tensioning rod and sliding mirror set?
Snakebite have stopped selling the tensioning rod.
I'm pretty sure I would struggle with the finishline product as I have a different dash to most of you guys.
Thanks
