Default Venom Racing Spy pics (Jim Beam Racing seen testing @ MP)

Hi All, with the Nats looming large rumours from the Sunshine State is that Venom Racings Ozvenom/SpookyPT Race Team contracted big budget JIMBEAM RACING Steven Johnson to supply some race test data for the upcoming 09 Nats.
Word has it that Steve's first piece of advice was the wheels were way too big for the arches so spy shots taken on the day showed Scotty doing what he does best... modification. The guards were cut quickly with a hacksaw blade! Problem solved.

Reports were Mcdonald Bros Race Team Porsche Driver (Mr Beeeeeeep... Name removed due to an imbarrasssing main straight fly by) ran over to the pit garage to ask what was in the bloody thing!

By all reports the day was a success....... but the team isn't officially releasing any other reports from the day!

Spy shots from the off track bushes would indicate that Steven Johnson looked VERY quick!

Dunno Pete I wasn't there....

Looks a little STIG like though I must admit!

Daytona..... nope... They remind me too much of a 240Z - no offence to Daytona Owners, there just not my cup of tea..

My street cobra is for sorta sale.... but sale or no sale it won't affect what I'm planning next! :-)

No offence was intended Stiff and Pete... They just don't rock my boat. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess. I'm sure many things I like you guys don't... Although beer I'm sure isn't one of them! Lol

Yeah you're right Stiff. Probably closer to the 280Z

Strange about the Daytona - they seem to evoke lots of admiration and envy - but I can't see the beauty in them. I think the GT40 looks so much better. Different eyes!

I didn't like them at first but the shape has grown on me over the years.

I reckon the Superformance Daytona looks fantastic in the flesh.

After seeing Dru Drury's Daytona at the nat's a couple of years ago I have decided that a Daytona kitvfrom Mr Harrison will be on order early next year. Let the fun begin....

The wife reckons they look like a Datsun as well, but you get that.

Cheers
Brett

Prius power for me Andrew... or maybe one of the new Jag/Ford 5 litre if they are ready or one of them 427 cubic inch Chev things. Don't really know just yet.

Cheers
Brett

Since Jag is owned by Tata now I cant see that motor appearing anytime soon.

Perhaps we'll see a 2 stroke powered XJ in the future?

The three common questions i get about the Coupe are...

1- "Is that a Bolwell"
2- "What kind of Datsun is that" Then proceed to tell me about some POS datto they had years ago that was the same colour scheme.
3-" Is that Brockies car"

If you take a Coupe, GT40 and Cobra to a car park, people will flock to the GT40 then half will walk over to the Cobra and maybe 2 will wonder over to look at the Coupe.

Should have painted the coupe bright red and put some black horse stickers on it. 99% of people would have no idea.

Still looks like a Datto though.......

Enough with the datto now......one more it's a datto and I'm loading up...

Maybe I should advertise the Coupe as a Datto 280z with body kit and windsor conversion......might get a Woodduck on a retro trip......

I've given up trying to sell the Coupe now....the Wood ducks, tyre kickers and dreamers have worn me to a point of exhaustion.....

Well I think the Daytona looks awesome!

Look at an original GT40 around $2.5 million whereas a Daytona $9 million.

Money talks

BJ, I did exactly the same thing, I ordered mine in Dec 06 after seeing Dru's.
There is not alot of room in the engine bay, so I think you will have to go with the Chevy.
