Default Wheel Backspacing for B&B Kit

Hi,

I am going to order my wheels and tires for my B & B kit but I would like the know the best backspacing. I like when the tires are even or slightly recessed with relation to the fender. Does anyone know what backspacing would give me that desired look?

Thanks for your time and help.

Paul

In front it all depends on if you use the mustang II A arms or the tubular ones. The rear depends on what your rear axle is from. Mine is from a Lincoln Mark VII and is wider than the mustang ones. Had to go with more offset. Jim

Cool BACKSPACING

HI PAUL!If you go with a Weld Wheel Best Wheels to use is a 5.500 Back Spacing with 15 inch wheel on the back and a 3.500----4.500 15 Inch rim on the front just depends on your style where you want the wheels to set in or out of the fender Later Lonny

Gentlemen:

Remember, backspacing will change depending on the wheel width.

I have a B&B,I just ordered my wheels from Alan at Motorsports specialties for the Compomotives powdercoated black inserts for $1500.00 delivered including polished spinners, this is a special for this month, I ordered the 15 x 9 1/2 for the rear, and 15 x 7 for the front, he said he knew the proper backspace for these to fit the B&B car with the 8.8 rearend,he said they will fit within the wheelwells like I wanted and he GUARANTEES fitment!! these sizes were his recommendation.

Default wheel fitment

Built my kit last year about this time, fixed the wheel offset problem last week by ordering a new set of rear rims.My rear rims tuck just inside of the wheel wells they are 15 x 8 with a 5 inch back space and i have a 1993 mustang rear end.my front wheels are 15x7 with a 3.5 back space they stick slightly out of the wheel wells but they still set slightly inside the track width of the rear tires so it looks fine.
