The alternator bracket w/ tensioner is March 30025. about $100.00 from summit. Perfect fit.

What are you going to use for the water neck? A 90 or 45 degree? Will it clear the tensioner? Will the standard B&B hose fit do you know? I have that same bracket set.

I have a 90, and it fits...you have to put the tensioner on the front side of the alternator to give you about 1/2" more clearance. I ordered the B&B Gates hoses( P/N from Karen) today and will pick them up @ NAPA in the morning. I'll let you know how they work.(photos). Couldn't get the radiator in without an extra hand, so I wired up the MSD tonight....one day closer to a fire-up.

Let me know how your Gates hoses work out. I am trying to figure out how the ones she gave me the number for would work with the 90. Post pics when everything is plumbed.

Why did you pick the center of the firewall for your MSD? I have mine on the footbox and am wondering if I will have trouble.

The Hose numbers from B&B didn't work. What I ended up doing was using a piece of "flex hose"(available at any autoparts), for the bottom piece. Looks and works great. some heavy duty(about 3-4) zip ties to the front cross member to keep it off the ground. I'll send photos in the morning. On the top, I have a temporary hose. It's from a 1992 Mustang. It seems to work fine, it's just a really tight fit on the radiator. I think i'll be off to the speedshop for some braided line and fittings to get the top plumbed up.

As far as the MSD box on the center of the firewall, more for aesthetics than anything else. I thought about putting it on the passenger side footbox, but decided on the center firewall. Apparently, inside the car is best(under dash, etc), but oh well. When I saw "ren man's" cobra, his MSD box was there, and I thought it looked cool.

spent the weekend getting everything put on. Ordering drive shaft tommorow, and might have it back tommorrow night.

The only problem I have now, is that I might have to take the passenger side tire and wheel well cover out to shoot the timing on the car. Can't see it with this March pulley/alternator bracket set.

Anyone else with these pulley's have a problem getting a timing light to work?

photo's tommorow.

What kind of water pump are you using? I am using a Weiand high volume from Jegs, and the spacers that were provided with the alternator bracket are not fitting properly. Did you need to modify them at all?

I'm using a stock waterpump..regular rotation. from a 1984 ford v-8(crown vic)?

I had to make a couple spacers. What I did was goto Home Depot and get some tubing. It's aluminum or atleast looks like it(maybe stainless)...anyways...you can cut them to length, and they look just like the spacers march provides. I had to get a longer bolt too, local bolt store had the same bolts march sent.

I am switching to the same setup. Where do you plan to put your coil?

Thanks,
Tom
