I actually did some cutting and turning of that hose. It works ALOT better now. I will show you what I did when I get home. I'll snap a couple of digital photos and post them this weekend.

I used a #8996 hose from napa, but I'm using the 45 deg. therm. housing. I originaly bought one for a 88 mustang 5.0 and it would have worked with the 90 deg housing. Hope this helps.

First, it is necessary to widen the slots on the mounts out a little to hold the proper size bolt. Then, I was told to leave the mounts loose on the engine and get them lined up with the mounting bolts. WOnce you have it leveled, tighten everything up. Worked well for me. I was swearing and everything the first time through.

I loosened my mounts on my motor. Bolted up one side. Used a large pry bar and pushed engine over to the other mount and bolted it in. Then tightend the mounts on the motor. Have someone help its alot easier. Jim

I actually had to weld my motor mounts in(hired a rig welder with truck). We put the headers, pipes, motor-mounts,and everything on the car and fitted it. Put the motor where we wanted it, leveled it, then the welder tacked it in place. We then unbolted and took everything out of the car, took the motor out, and he welded it up.

Blake,
Look at my pics on the left side of the screen where it says "View My Photo Gallery". I used a Coolflex before I went to braided stainless steel.

B&B top radiator hose
I have a B&B and could never come up with any hose that looked right. I then made an aluminum pipe and used hoses on each end. The pipe only had one bend in it. I used 90 degree hoses on the motor and radiator. Looks a lot nicer. Dennis Tapp 405-736-0705

Here's what I used...It was a hose for a 1992 Mustang. But that hose, when left stock, goes around the alternator, and rubs on the alternator fan, and will cut a hole in the hose (learned the hard way). You can cut and modify it and it works great...re-route around the front.

Any problem getting the air out of the hose using the 90 degree thermostat housing and that hose? I used the hose in the stock configuration and it does not touch the altenator or fan, and has a protective sleeve on it as well. The big problem that I have is I know I have a huge air bubble in my system, and cannot figure out how to burp it out with that hose!
