Default Engine wire routing for Carb setup

I am running a carb setup with an MSD distributor. As such, I hav elimited wires running to the engine (fan sensor, oil pressure, water temp, coil, msd distributor sensor and alternatore). I was thinking instead of running them out the passenger foot box with the rest of the wires to run them out of the firewall right behind the engine. Has anyone done this? Any thoughts? Yes, it is another hole in the firewall, and is a little more obvious, but I think it is less obvious than a bundle of wires running from the foot box to the engine.

Tom,

I ran mine around the driver's side under the body lip and brought it out in a loom along with the wiring for the water temp and oil temp sensors. Semmed logical to me and looks fine.

tom,

The come out of the passenger footwell....then I ran them along the firewall in black conduit. Alternator wires I ran under the "lip" of the engine comparment, then went straight across to the alternator. looks very clean.

Here's were Craig Bachmeyer ran his out of. It's a B&B also.

It'll all tuck up underneath the body lips, etc...and be clean.

I like his painted foot boxes also...

Running wires right above the exhaust collectors? They will get hot, very hot. I have seen the plastic conduit melt and drip onto sidepipes when not insulated in a firesleeve.

once the body is on, it will be tucked under the body. It's just there for temporary use to run the motor while his body get's finished.

it'll be routed under the "lip" on the engine compartment.
