New LAE Owner
Well, I'm now OFFICIALLY a new LAE Cobra owner!!! It is an older LAE, BUT it is a VERY NICE car. The owner/builder had to move to Illinois and didn't want to take the car with him. He did a GREAT job building it! It has a rebuilt 351C, 5 speed, narrowed 9" Ford rear end, Flaming River rack and pinion, 4 wheel disk brakes, D/S chrome roll bar, over-riders, hood latches, and PSE wheels with near new Goodyear Eagle GTII tires, Guardsman Blue with white stripes. Car seems to run great. I am so happy that I was fortunate enough to find another cobra as fast as I did. I am a little sad that I didn't find another CR version since I met many great folks over on that forum, BUT I know there are just as many here on this B&B forum and I'm glad that I am now amongst your ranks. Now I need to add a few things to my new-old car that I already have on order and I'll be even happier (front and rear bumpers, Moto-Lita Steering wheel, original style gauges). My car is NOT a SHOW CAR by any means, BUT I wanted one to DRIVE and have FUN with. NOW I got one ) I'll post some pictures as soon as I take some (hopefully this weekend).

Congrats! Welcome to the most exciting money pit in the world! There is always something to buy, upgrade or improve. That's why we love them so much.

jams: I sold my 30 foot Catalina sailboat last year. NOW THAT was a REAL MONEY PIT. $300+ a month to just keep it in the water and we sailed it 4 times in the 2 years that we had it. The 2 most happiest days in a "boat owners" life are the day he buys his boat and the day he sells it!! B.O.A.T. = Bring Over Another Thousand.

Mac,
But look at the experience he gained and now he can help the next person who falls into this mess. That is one nice car he got this time.

I think I would have shot myself if I finally got the vehicle and had to see it go bye bye. My car came from CA , its a CR, "titled" and there was a moment of "OH SH%&". I hope mine is OK
Well its all set and I'm glad Jim's happy

Jim Welcome aboard!
I too had those two happy days several years ago when I bought and sold my Jet Boat. Like you the last year I owned it, I only had it in the water once or twice.
I think you will enjoy your Cobra much more...I know I do!
