Default Lap Belt Mounting locations

Hi,

I am rethinking my current lap belt mounting locations because I think they are basically useless.

What have you juys mounted your lap belt to??

Ohbouy said with the new frames, there are better locations but I guess I have an old frame and there is nothing but fiberglass.

Any ideas??

Thanks

I guess I had my mind set on mounting the lap belts towards the rear of the seat. Instead I bolted them through the frame towards the middle of the seat.

Jams,

Did your frame come with mounting tabs near the rear of the seat? When did you pick up your frame?

No mounting frames that I could find. My frame is about 4 years old. I used long bolts through the frame rails and it works fine. Mounting tabs would have made the job easier!

I agree. I pick my frame up early this year. Here are the tabs they're putting on now:

Yes, those tabs sure are nice, and they are in the proper position!!! You also do not need to mess with the silly seat brackets as they weld a flat pan in for the seat to sit on. Add washers or spacers to get the right angle, put tracks on if you want and you are good to go.
