Default Nuts on tubular upper control arms

I will try to post a picture, but until then, I hope someone knows what I am talking about. There are two nuts on the end of the upper control arms where it pivots. The arms cannot come off because of the way they are mounted, but if these were torqued down, would it impede motion? What are they supposed to be torqued to, and how do you keep them from working loose?

Tom,

These have nylon inserts right? I'm not sure we're going to find a spec, but, I would be surprised if you could get them too tight with 3/8" rachet. I tighten them that way and they move fine with no apparent binding. With the nylock, I can't imagine them coming loose?

i think they could work loose but would never come off . So just check them before track time or once a month to see if they ever get loose.my 2cents.

First off Tom, those are pinch nuts. Similar to the ones holding down the control arm to the top of the k-member. Torque at least 80#, I try about 100#. Make sure the control arm is about level (ride height) before tightening. The rubber inside the bushings handles the movement.
