Default Standard B&B radiator question...

My engine is a 392w that will put out approximately 475 horsepower. Can I use the standard radiator that came with my kit as long as I get enough CFM from my 2 puller fans? Each fan is supposed to pull 3000 CFM at 7.5 amps. Thanks...

Mike

Default Radiator

I don't know what the capacity is of the radiator from B&B.
The 77-78 Mustang II radiators have the brackets and support structure to mount to the B&B front clip. They are also narrow enough to fit inside the body.

US Radiator has a Mustang II radiator that will bolt right up to the B&B brackets and with the bottom outlet pointed up so it can be routed above the frame member. HP. Part # 53160.

Get the 3 pass desert cool model. I have a 460@520HP with a single 2300 CFM 16" fan. Never operates above 190degrees. Make sure you duct the air to the radiator and have a fan shroud.

Boris,

Your 4 core radiator will be fine just be sure you get all the air out of the system. I ran the standard radiator with my 427 for several years. I changed because I managed to get a hole in mine and wanted an aluminium cross flow radiator.

Enjoy your ride.

Clois

I have to replace my standard B & B radiator. It has given me 11 years of good service. Is it a standard 4 core out of a mustang 77, 78???? Just want to be sure.

I replaced a radiator in a B&B last year. It was a copper radiator from the 70's. I called a company in Gadsden, Al and they made me an aluminum radiator that was a drop in for $325.
I have the drawning if you need it.

Jams,

I have an original B&B Rad I would sell for $150. Went to an Alum but the original was just fine. Let me know if you are interested.

Default Need a replacement radiator for my B & B Cobra

The radiator in my car has developed a significant leak and needs to be replaced. Current unit installed is the standard brass that was supplied by B&B. I will consider both brass and aluminum as a replacement. Any help with locating a suitable drop in replacement unit is greatly appreciated.

I have an original Rad from my B&B -- has about 6k miles on it. It's in good shape I will sell for $150.00. Also I replaced the original the direct bolt in from Griffin Alum. is PN 9D-14523-01. It was $625.00 plus ship and all you need to do is bolt it in as it is made for the B&B mounts.
