B and B Roadster Ordered
I have read this forum a lot and learned a lot. After what I believe was a fair amount of research, I ordered a B and B cobra kit. I should pick it up the end of the month. My decision was mostly based on I needed an interior that I could get in to, the quality of the glass work, and the strength and safety of the frame.
I have been studying all I can on the build process and know I will be asking for advice in the future from those who have done this before.
I am going to use a carbureted 1971 Ford 302, a T-5, and the narrowed Ford 9" rear end, 3.50 gears with posi. I have started rebuilding the engine.
I am really looking forward to this and have been wanting to do it for about fifteen years.

Good choice on B+B. There are a few of us around here. When the building starts ask any questions that might come up. Good luck on your build. Jim

I chose for the same reasons. You won't be disappointed. I'll add my good luck and let us know if we can help.

Wayne,
I have had mine for 10 years and it has been through it's share of off road excursions (unintentionally) and I don't have ANY flaws in my fiberglass whatsoever. I have been extremely pleased with my Cobra and would buy another. Keep up posted on your progress and take pictures.
Clois Harlan
By the way when you are picking up your Cobra my HCS Coupe should be back from Carlisle. Be sure and take a look at it and let me know what you think.
Clois

Wb - We have a member that is very intimate with the B&B and is more than willing to help others. You could ping him (Mike W) at our web site in the RNG (free) section at http://www.gatewaycobraclub.com

Thanks guys !
I plan on taking a lot of pictures of this build.
I got all my engine rebuild parts today with a lot the peformance parts. It was like xmas, but maybe a little better since it's hard to get this stuff for xmas.
I've been through the 50 oz. vs. 28 oz. flywheel issue and got my flywheel rebalanced to 28 oz. to match the motor.
Clois, I'll take some pictures of your car.

wbulk:
I've had my B&B for about a year, and after some initial engine problems I've really enjoyed the car. Bryan and the folks make a great car and are responsive after the sale. There are lots of folks here on the forum that love helping others and talking about Cobras. Enjoy!

A great decision!! Bought my Cobra from them full turn-key, at my age didn't want to spend a lot of time in the garage building a car, rather wanted to be on the road driving. Got the car last October, now have 5k miles on it and extremely happy with the deal. The folks at B & B are the best to work with, couldn't be happier with the purchase. It has a mild 302, T5, and 3.5 gears, perfect for the street driving I bought the car for, didn't want a racer nor a show car, this is exactly what I wanted it to be. Good luck on your build, have fun!
