Default Kick Off the New Season: East Coast Ride

Too much damn snow. I'm thinking of the near future. Just started my BDR snake with ease. I'm getting the itch to go riding, but its just too soon.

However, Just checking interest in a cobra kick off ride. Involving anyone in my area of CT, MA, NY, ETC.I'm sure Jay and Bryan at Vintage would be interested.

We would have at least two month to get things squared away such as rally points, course layout, meeting points, breakfast and or lunch and dinner bring the wives or girl friends, a son or daughter. I think it would be fun to do.

I just enjoy driving these things, so if anyone loves driving their cobra's as much as I do maybe we can all come up with a nice kick off event.

Let me know of any interest.

Thanks.

It's been too long... why not tie it in to the parade lap offering at Limerock?

Got cabin fever bad like you. I've been sneaking runs out to the Hamptons, when there's no salt on the roads. That soft top sure is ugly, though; and sounds/feels like it will fly off any minute. People look at me like I'm nuts; but that's OK, because I am.
I'll go.

Better yet, what about a dyno day in April? Also looks like a grand opening event might be evident around that time

Lots of sand in my area still. I Hope to be planning a kick off event some time in april or so. RI Mansions, state wide ride, ride to central location for a picnic, Gilette Castle, etc. Something different to kick off the season and get the oil mixing good.

Hope some of you cobra guys in the area can make it I think it can be a fun time. No matter what car you have. Bring a passanger, friend, spouse, girl friend, etc.

lloyds1 ,

How are you. How far would you like to see a kick off ride. I'm gonna try to plan out a course or destination so to speak soon.

I grew up in East Haddam (where Gilette's Castle is), let me know if you want some help planning a route through there (there are some awesome roads). I have friends at Consumer's Union (auto test facility for Consumer Reports), maybe we can stop and check out their facility. I doubt they will let us on the track though. Keep in touch. I should have my car soon for April.

I'm living in Newport now, so that always sounds good to me...

That's the old Conn Dragway. That would be a great place to rent for the day. Jay?....

I'm in Norwalk CT. Any place is fine with me as long as I can get there and back in a single day.....The roads up by Limerock are really nice.

Would love to see someone set up a Run 'n shoot or some sort of high performance weekend (or single day) at one of the local speedways (maybe New Hampshire). Would take a lot of effort, but there's plenty of Cobras and GT40's in the northeast.

On the chest of a barmaid at Yale
