Default Remote (Button) Trunk Release

Has anyone added a remote button that has a clean install and worked well? What kit did you use (brand and Model #). Any pictures of the installed product? I see quite a few available on the market.

Thanks for any help

Thumbs up

Sorry, I don't have any pictures but this is a slam dunk. I went to the u pick apart yard and took all the pieces from a 1990 Pontiac Gran Am trunk release. It was almost a bolt in with very minor alterations for it to work. I even used the button and wire. There are several other GM products that use the same solenoid release. Total cost was $28
bucks.

You got cup holders? I wanted them but they would interfere with my laptop docking station.

For me it would take to much power away from my auto-inflatable lumbar support.

After this I’m adding a vanity mirror and curb fillers. My plate covers the handle and notching the tag looks a little crude. With the new law in NC (cant cover-up the state name on the tag) cutting the tag may be next.

Don't forget the 15" subwoofer behind each seat for the most out of the sound system.

In all seriousness, why do you need a remote trunk release? You do not have a system that will open it for you so why must you release it remotely?

OK, in all seriousness I hate those ridicules camper handles. I took them off the hood and the trunk, On the hood I used 68 Shelby Mustang hood pins and on the trunk I got nothing. So when I need to get in I push a button and it is spring released.
Keep in mind now that I have no intention of replicating an original Shelby CSX Cobra. No where on my car does it say Cobra. So I do what make me happy. That trunk release makes me very happy. I got cruise control too. Because I drive mine on some very long trips it comes in handy. My right leg was injured long ago and that cruise makes it livable.
Sorry I'm slowin' up in my old age ... mistake corrected.

"CRX Cobra"...actually, that says a lot. You're creating a Honda Cobra!

Hey...really...to each his/her own, but if folks want all of this convenience and comfort stuff, why buy the most inconvenient/uncomfortable little SOB ever made?

...just sayin.

These posts are always dejavu all over again.
My Car is 24yrs old. And I still enjoy it. That's
it, all there is too it. It trips my trigger and as long as it does I'm keepin' it that way.
