Question is there a big difference between the old and new style seats?

is there much of a difference between the new seats and the older style?

Mine has the older type hoping my fat A$$ fits okay

I just hope there's never been a seat bracket brokenby too fast of a zero to 60

If not, buy the AC Cobra seats, mount them to the floor. They'll swallow your ass better and you'll be able to drive comfortable long distances. I drove 300 miles in a day last summer on my seats. Jay will be able to direct you where to get them.

I can't say really. Heard some complain, heard some like them... I never had them. Comes down to personal choice I think. Mine are more comfortable than my mustang though.

Dennis,
Based on our previous discussions, I think you will find the seats a little snug to you. The new seats are more comfortable up top but I have a few of the bigger customers complaining about the bolsters.

The seats we put in Phil's car are a total knockout, the only hook is you cannot put a slider in.

Best thing you can do is wait until you get the car and then see what you will need. You can order a wide seat from the factory... it takes a bit of time to get it but the option is there.

don't remember talking about the seats with you, just the size of the driving compartment in general.

My best bet is if I lose 25 pounds

so the basic difference of the newer seats are that they are not cuped as much on the upright back of the seat? aside from the leather design.

Dennis, the stock seats have changed in size over the past few years. We used to offer a XL and XXL seat, but they are now standard for the XL seat in the cars. They fit pretty well, even with a bigger bottom. But Jay is right, the side bolsters sometimes gets a bit tight. I can tell you that we have guys at 300 lbs driving these cars...

They actually are very comfortable compared to many others I have sat in.

Bests, James
