Default BDR Radiator and Fan For sale

I have recently replaced my stock BDR radiator, shroud, and fan combo for the upgraded all aluminum set up. My 428 FE was running way too hot, overheating, and vapor locking with the old system, so I had to beef it up to the upgraded system. Its running well now.

The parts have only 300 miles on them...so they're brand spankin' new

BDR parts offers the OEM radiator at $190 and has their higher CFM fan for $117, I'll sell the whole setup (fan, shroud, radiator) for $200.

Any takers?

Which radiator and fan did you go with to replace the stock one?

Thanks
Michael

Talked at length with Mike Russell at Backdraft Parts in FL. They have an all aluminum thicker core radiator that they sell specificially for the FE application in a BDR. They also suggested to pair the radiator with a 16" nominal 2200 CFM Maradyne fan and BDR's aluminum shroud. That combo would pull over 3000CFM.

BUT....Since I never wanted to deal with the overheating issue again, I purchased a Zirgo 16" nominal 3000 CFM fan from Summit racing, paired it with BDR's radiator/shroud, and it works like a champ. When I flip the fan switch, the car now moves forward ...I consider it my turbo prop

I've been trying to sort this out for a almost a year now and finally got to the heart of the problem....the stock radiator and fan were to small for my 428CJ. Have some fuel system mods in the works...once those are done, I can start racking up the miles..

PM me if you want more details.

These fan companies have their own methods of rating the CFM. From experience the Zirgo 3000cfm does not move air like the Maradyne 2200cfm. There's a tech article floating around on this...
