Thanks all. The T-56 was selected by the customer, he wanted a modern transmission to go with the modern engine. This car is "done". I plan to get a similar build soon with a power adder to kick it up a little.

This engine really interests me Jay. I will follow this closely. How much more for the forged Coyote that is forced induction ready?

You dont need to use forged pistons when supercharging the Coyote, the hyperutectic piston is strong enough the motor stock is 11:1 compression so about 5-7 pds boost is all that is needed to really make the coyote big block power.

Ford just released a Coyote for S/C application with lowered compression and forged parts. We are figuring out our next shop/demo but keep selling before arrival.
The Roushcharged Coyote has also arrived...
The amazing part is most states in our region would rather seea dinosaur motor in the cars then these ultra efficient setups...

How about that new 2012 Ford Boss 302 444hp monster?!?
Was going to ask about the coyote and emissions. Obviously it ain't registered as a '65. I can't see NJ passing it without all of it's emissions controls, etc. Is it a big deal or no worries?

You can run 11:1 on a lot of stuff with pump gas. It takes a little bit more attention during the planning/assembly states of the build, but it can be done without much difficulty.
But Jay is right.....the VVT helps out tremendously. When you can retard the cam timing way back, you can get away with a lot of stuff. When you do that on a normal engine, you get a pig lazy bottom end, poor idle characteristics, etc. However, when you can adjust the cam timing on the fly, you have a lot better scenario.

Just to run with the idea...
In NJ for a modern engine they require modern exhaust parameter requirements and an OBD-2 sensor port; they don't do the actual exhaust testing anymore with the exhaust sniffer. They just plug their little computer into the OBD-2 port and look for any anomolies.
If I were to use a Coyote, could it be installed with a cross-flow under car exhaust system with muffler's (which would probably increase overall HP, even compared to side pipes) and an OBD-2 computer port with exhaust sensors to pass my inspections?

I replied in your other post, but we have cat side pipes now and the port is on the computer. You could use this engine with the Roush base S/C kt and should remain compliant.
