Are you thinking of upgrading to M3 brakes?
If oyu are thinking of upgrading to M3 brakes you will need to change out your spindles. Here is a great deal for the spindles:

Thinking of upgrading the front brakes on my BDR Cobra (#176). Will E-36 M3 brake calipers clear 15" wheels?

Rotors are the issue. It's why the M3 option years ago included the 17" wheels.
