Default Hurst shifter from Vintage Motorsports

Just received the Hurst short throw shifter from Jay at Vintage. Truth be told I bought it for looks, but I got so much more. This shifter is twice as good as what came on the car and looks great! The position is perfect and precise. Thanks for the idea Jay.

Glad you like it. About 90% of our customers opt for it. Sorry it was a slow ship, we had a run on knobs.

We've discovered another billet shifter we may begin selling as well, the hook is you can't run the stock rubber boot, so I'm not sold yet.

Guys, what shifter? All I see is a handle on your site.

That's it. Technically just a handle.

C130herc, I hope your's came with the correct special nut to lock the knob. Mine was sent with a regular nut and won't work. I guess I will have to buy one from Hurst and pay more for shipping than it's worth.

Hold on, did you get it from us and it was missing the locking nut?

Yes, mine came with everything needed, other than a little locktite. I highly recommend.

As I replied in email... we've installed atleast 30 or more here and sold about 20. You are the only one reporting this issue. Send it back for a refund if you cannot install it.

Thanks

It would be better if you would just send me the correct lock nut.

Added:
Perhaps your guys found some washers that would fit in the knob recess.

You have it for that knob... Produced by Summit Racing. I'm sure if I called them they have likely sold a number of them. Like I said, send back part or all you are not happy with. I believe our margin on these is about 5 bucks, no need to sweat it.

I'll put it on a car here.

Just received and installed the shifter. It had all the necessary hardware. A simple install (about 15 minutes) and it looks great. And works even better. Great, simple, inexpensive upgrade!

Glad you like it. It tends to work best on a TKO transmission with the shifter flipped before install. But I have used them with T-5s. It's the positioning that helps.
