Anyone know where I can get direct bolt on sway bard for BDR #662? Want heavy duty bars and hardware.

Thanks R Moudry

Randy, you might want to call Mike at Iconic Parts (561-327-4944) but I think E36 bars will fit our cars and those are available from quite a few BMW performance outlets like Turner.

Look on backdraft boys.com

There are pictures and discussions about this.

Bimmerworld.com was one of the links on backdraft boys.

There were some photos of huge sway bars. Might be overkill on lighter car, might not.

Here is another brand that I have been looking at Hotchkis Sport Suspension

They are pretty big and might make the car too stiff.

But racing springs is the first step if you don't already have them.

I think it a combination of springs, shocks, sway bars, tires and tire pressure.

27/23 or 28/21 is a difference for front/rear. I am not sure if the eBays sway bars will fit.

They are for E36 in the 1990's.

"BMW E36 325i/325is 1993-1995" That's what's up under our cars. E36 production stopped around 2000 and E46 superseded it. I'm pretty sure those bars will fit.

While we're at it; those (and all other bimmer bars) are for cars with almost 1000# more weight than ours and I'm wondering how much effect the relative sizes have when used on our cars. I can tell you that my car (stock bars, race springs, RR rubber) gets quite tail-happy on the track whether under power or not. In fact I'm thinking about getting a larger front bar to help with the over-steer. It'd be nice to have an adjustable one.

The eBay sway bars are lots cheaper if that is a factor.

I might try them myself. I don't really know if I need this stuff but it is fun shopping for my car.
