Default Raydot sideview mirrors useless

I have the Raydot sideview mirror on my Cobra. Looks great but the convex lens makes it useless. Cars that appear to be 20 yards back are actually just
behind my left rear. Its actually pretty dangerous. Anyone know of a sideview mirror that has this look but with a flat mirror?

There are flat mirror inserts for those mirrors, I have two of them. Forgot where I bought them.

Someone put the wrong one on your driver side. You can get the flat lens version from cobra, nardi, moto-lita, mini cooper, ferrari, shifter carts, parts and accessories from Finish Line though not in black. If your car is blacked out just swap the mirror glass.

Those mirrors are usually useless no matter what type of glass is in them.

Are they fitted to the guards? I'm in the process of fitting mine, and I'll be making a bracket for the side of the windscreen frame. I also don't want to drill holes in the body.

Thanks. But have to ask... these seem to be roughly the same size as the Raydots. What makes them work better than Raydots with a flat mirror?
I love the bullet shape look of the Raydots.

How do they attach? Do you have a photo of them mounted?

I like the idea of having the mirror inside the wind deflector. That must help a lot. Also the closer the mirror is to you the better.

Actually , if you mount the mirror on top of the front wheel ie the fender top, it gives a view of the whole car......my Anglia in the sixties had those, although not raydots........

I had Terry make me one to match my blackout look. He did it for the same price as polished, looks fantastic, much better rear view than the raydot.

Just mounted my new Raydyots on custom designed waterjet cut 4,5mm polished stainless steel brackets using the same holes as the stock Backdraft brackets. They look awesome, but any windscreen mounted side mirror will have limited visibility... Photos of the stock bracket-and-mirror as well as the new bracket-and-Raydyots below. Enjoy!

The first looks nice, but the second looks so tough, very nice.

I also have Terry's mirrors, they make a big difference. I agree does Raydots are dangerous.
