Default Door panel repair replace

I've been going over my slightly used BDR Cobra #956 since it was delivered 3 weeks ago. Only thing that really disappoints me is the drivers side door panel.
Looks like the previous owner tried to keep to many BIG items in the pocket. The pocket is completely pulled away from panel and the leather is coming loose from the panel along the bottom.
Does anyone have experience pulling the panels, are they glued on or velcro'd?
What about repair any suggestions on a more permanent solution. Right now its a sticky mess all along the edge where the bottom of pocket bellows is supposed to be attached to the door panel. Does any one know someone who makes better door panels for BD Cobras? Found one online, but he only makes for Factory Five cars.

Jeff:
The quick-fix is to re-glue in place. Find some Barge leather cement. (I found some at my local shoe repair shop). Apply to pocket and door liner leather, let each side dry for about 15 minutes and get tacky before you clamp them together. Let dry overnight and you should be good to go.

Default Door panel fix

Mike, thanks for the idea. My problem is getting off whatever the previous owner put on the pocket to try and fix it. Right now the bottom of the pocket is covered inside and out, in some form of "slimy but tacky goo". If I can get that cleaned off, your tip is the way to go. Thanks, Jeff

I removed both door panels and had them recovered in black leather. The panels were held on by a excessive amount of silicone. After removing all the silicone by hand I used black Velcro to attach the newly covered panels to the door. I also removed the straps as they are known to come loose and not needed at all. One of mine was hanging down on one end. Now I can remove and replace them at any time.
