I've driven my BDR about a 1000 miles since new and the sidepipes rattled from day 1. Seems like it's getting worse over the past several hundred miles.
I'm guessing the glass packing in the pipes is the issue. Any possible fixes or should I call backdraft for warranty options since the car comes with 1 yr coverage I believe. Anyone else go through this and get backdraft to fix this issue?

This was a problem with some of the FFR side pipes a while ago.
It seems that the internal baffle dislodged and caused the baffle to rattle.
Their solution was to drill holes in the sidepipes (where they couldn't be seen) and secure the baffles with sheet metal screws.
If it makes you feel better, that happened in some of our Cobras and they weren't Backdrafts. And the fix suggested above is what we did. Took the pipes off and drilled small holes under and toward the inside of the pipe and used self tapping sheet metal screws to anchor the baffles and never had another rattle from them.
Hey guys thanks for the feedback. I also spoke with backdraft and seems this is a known issue with all their sidepipes since They switched suppliers a few years ago.
I may try the self tapping screws. Is there a DIY available or some instructions I can take to a metal shop that can do the work? Hoping this will resolve the "can-O-bolts" rattle I've got, especially during engine braking. thx
I would just put new (louder ) mufflers on then have them ceramic coated. That's what I did with mine. I even went the extra step of making mine removable with V band clamps so I can change to short dumps if I so desire.
When I first put them in I gave the blades a bit of a bend so they'd fit in the pipes, but they rattled like crazy and drove me nuts - especially when coasting. I pulled them out and re-bent the blades so they were a much tighter fit - tight enough to need a small hand sledge and a block of hardwood to drive them in. No more rattles.
