Default How to move Pedals forward for more leg room?

I have Backdraft # 602. - I'm 6'3 and the pedals are much too close for me. I have moved the seat back as far as I can, but still my knees are "up" in the air. There seems to be plenty of room to move the pedals - I have asked Backdraft for help... but no reply

Anybody moved their pedals?

Any help welcome

Thanks
Henrik

Henrik:
Since the master cylinders are mounted to the front of the footbox, moving them forward would be a PITA. I would first explore the feasability of cutting off the lower portion of the existing pedal arms and bolting on new lower arms with a profile that moves the pedals more forward.

You might be able to cut out the floorboard where your heels sit, and install a small box for your heels rest in. That should lower your knees where they will not hit the dashboard. That might be a easier to do than trying to move the pedals forward.

I have BDR #1133 and I have noticed that there is about 6 inches of clearance to the firewall for the fully depressed clutch pedal. It would seem that a set of levers with an offset to move the pedals forward could be a solution that wouldn't require any additional modifications to the car.
By the way, I am 5'-7" with a 29" leg inseam so I fit comfortably in my car. However, Henrik offered to house my wife and me on our next visit to Denmark after he learned we were in his neighborhood on our last visit. It is a beautiful country to drive around in and has very friendly folks to consult when you get lost.

On my older BDR you just need to take the pin out between pedal arm and rod. Then screw the clevis onto the rod closer to firewall.
