Hello Bob,
I appreciate you for sharing. I know someone had to have paved this path, but whoa, supercharged Coyote was certainly not what I was expecting. Nice.
I have BDR roller chassis coming my way shortly and I have a Coyote Gen 3 on the way. Did you drop the drivetrain in without removing the BDR body? Is your build documented in this forum?
Again, I appreciate the posts!
Ray

I took the hood off. It was just easier that way.
There were a couple of big issues that need to be resolved.
BEFORE you drop the engine in, take out the pedals. Once the engine is in, that rod won't come out.
- you'll need to mount the DBW throttle pedal to the back wall.
- I think the pedals are too far apart. You can change that to fit you better.
To get the headers centered in the openings, we had to modify the motor mounts a bit. Make slots instead of holes. I used solid mounts. I also had to trim the cowling a bit for the supercharger.
The stock Mustang wiring harness places the ECU in the front right corner of the engine bay. You'll need to re-wrap the harness to move it back to the firewall.
Pay close attention to the steering column. Mine hit the valve cover a smidgen.
The stock alternator will not fit. I had to use an 80A racing alternator.
Install the headers with the engine lowered in the bay, but not down on the mounts.
I love the 6R80 6 speed auto. So much fun to drive.

Solid feedback and great tips prior to dropping in the drivetrain. Are you particular with any specific fuel pressure regulator?

No. I think there are a number of good choices available. I'm currently using an Aeromotive. Been fine for 15K miles and 4 years.
You could even consider the Chevy Corvette filter/regulator combo. I have that on my race car, and it works just as advertised.

I’m looking to do the same thing and buying a rolling chassis. What did it run you money wise and which dealer did you use?

I used the local dealer in Denver. 6 years ago, the cost with all my options was about $45K'ish. Who knows what the cost is now!
