Has anyone tried another pedal box/assembly?
Has anyone tried switching out the factory pedal box/assembly for another brand (Wilwood, Brembo, OBP, Tilton, etc)? I am looking for something that has smoother action and more adjustment options...i.e. location of brake/throttle to allow for easier heel-toe shifting. I see there are a number of floor and firewall mounted options out there. Just want to know if anyone has done an install, what type of fabrication was involved, and if they felt the switch was worth the time/money when it was all done. Thanks in advance.

Did you lose the power booster with that setup? Wilwood looks like they have a pedal set that allows for the booster through the firewall just like stock.

You can fit anything to anything. These are OBP pedals mounted in my Mk IV Autokraft. Twin brake masters with in cockpit balance adjustment, hyd clutch with integrated stop, no servo. Pedals are strong. Accelator pedal is cable operated. Still under construction, but better than OE Fox Mustang unit.

Hi,
I have the Tilton pedal set up with 3 separate master cylinders, adjustable balance bar no servo and the brakes are awesome . The pedals come through the floor they don't hang from the top like most.

Thanks the reply. They brakes are ok without the power booster? I heard the pedal is very stiff and it is difficult to get the car to stop without one.

I have no problem stopping the car all 4 wheels lock up if needed just make sure you have the master cylinders sized right for your braking system. The balance bar let's me fine tune the brakes to my liking and I don't find the pedal to hard to push, I also use a softer brake pad compound all around. My dad is 71 and he finds it easy to drive and stop.
