Default Iconic 427 specs

I have a 2013 BDR RT3 #1223 with an Iconic 427s with 1,600 miles on it. On a recent ride the engine died and I was unable to restart. After some diagnosis, I discovered the the bronze gear on the Pertronix Ignitor III distributor was worn. As I now need to replace the distributor/gear, I was hopeful that someone could provide the with the cam specs on the Iconic 427. I know that i will be replacing the gear with steel version this time but I want to make sure I am getting the right gear for this cam.

Only 1 place that can tell you that. Call Iconic. We have another one with an Iconic in our shop now and need to find out as well. Post it if they answer you.

If you give me the engine # (it's on the back near the intake) I can find out for you.

Thanks, I will get the engine # and get back to you. Does the one in your shop have the bronze gear as well?

That’s wise. If it’s a steel core, use a steel gear. Don’t buy into the $100 polymer gear hype.

There’s a chance it could be a cast iron cam and in that case you’d use an iron gear.
