Question Front End Height

Since these older cars have fixed camber plates (not sure about newer ones) what height do people use at the wheel center line? I just fixed my rack, springs etc. But in getting the alignment done had to move it up to get a good balance or reading. Used a E36 M model.
Thanks

I basically run mine with a two finger (1st knuckle) gap above the tire front and rear.

I've installed the Backdraft front camber plates and E36 adjustable lower camber arms in the rear.

Thanks, i was thinking the same thing about installing a adjustable one. After watching this guy with today's systems it would be a major help in alignment, thus ride and tire wear.
