Default New Backdraft RT4B GT

I owned a Shell Valley for 13 years. I never thought I would sell as I had so many fun and memorable trips with daughter, wife and the many people I met owning the cobra. Over the years I made changes to the cobra to make it more the way I wanted it. Fast forward I decided to have one built exactly like I wanted. Did some research and made the decision that Vintage Motorsports was the one to tackle this build. Had many conversations with Jay @ Vintage and got one ordered mid June. Today saw the first photos from the factory. Super excited to where this next chapter goes with the new Backdraft. Can't wait to get back on the backroads and make more memories. I will try to update as the build goes along. You can also follow along @ abe.vms_backdraft. Thanks to Jay and Brian @ Vintage Motorsports for taking on this build for me. I can't wait to see the final product. As they say it's not real. It's Unreal. That puts a grin on my face. Here are a few factory photos.

Can't let everything out of the bag yet. Just saying it should be fun. Not a Roush. It is scheduled to arrive in Miami end of Jan. After they do what they do then up to Vintage Motorsports for the build out. With long lead times on parts we tried to get a jump on them and hope to have most parts waiting on car and not the car waiting on parts. Hopefully it works out. Hoping to have in my garage June 1st. Engine has arrived at Vintage Motorsports.

As I mentioned on the phone, you've chosen the best of the best. Welcome to the VMS family!

Thanks John. I also really appreciate you taking the time to chat. One day I will make it out to watch a few of your races. VMS sounds like a great family to be a part of.

Nice choice... I almost went the vader look with all black on mine, but just love their Ruby Red too much.

My build at Vintage is a few months before yours #2334

I'll be watching two builds now... hopefully we get our cars before the nice weather leaves us this year.

Looks like you got the correct size rear tires on yours, 335's I assume.

My car came with 295's because they didn't have the the proper size available due to tire shortages at the time of shipping to the States. Not something I'm willing to accept, so I busted out my wallet and had proper sized tires drop shipped to Vintage Motorsports... my car will not be caught wearing little tires.
