Default Upper radiator hose

I know that the upper steel pipe leading to the radiator that has the 90 degree bend is 1.5" OD. Is the water neck on the thermostat housing the same diameter? Just wondering since I have a new hose with a 90 degree bend that is 1.5" ID throughout the entire hose. Just have to cut it down to size. But want to make sure that I can use it before I disassemble the old plumbing and cut the hose.

On a related note, my existing upper radiator hose with the 90 degree bend (the one I'm looking to replace) is original to the car (2011 build). Is it normal for the hose to billow/puff out between the two clamps or is that just a sign that the hose is old and tired and needs to be replaced?

Yes it is is 1.5" at each end.

Yes the hoses are old. I'd change them all.
The Water pump outlet hose is 1.75" to 1.5 though.
All others are 1.5"

What about the diameter size for the hose that goes from the lower steel pipe to the expansion tank? That one looks smaller.
