Default Windshield Source?

I just put in an order for a 49.5" windshield for my BDR with Iconic but current lead times are 10-16 weeks. Yikes. With an inspection looming to get the car on the road for the season, I'd like to get my hands on one asap. I'm only looking for DOT approved options at the moment. Are there any other sources for BDR windshields? Or anyone happen to have one of these lying around?

Sorry to say the answer will universally be no...

Well, that's unfortunate. Guess I'll be scouting inspections stations for leniency. I have a fairly minor 3" crack in the lower passenger side corner, so hopefully they are feeling charitable when they take a look. I appreciate the info Jay.

That's one place I hadn't considered. Just got a dimensioned drawing from Dana at SV and it looks very close. Roughly an 1/8" taller and a 5/16" wider at the base and it looked like there was some room to work with when I took the old windshield out for measurements. I'll have to check the radii to see if it's close in the curves, but that might work out. Thanks for the suggestion.

Shell Valley has a parts group that supplies OEM versions of Cobra windshields. As far as I know they are the sole importer and distribute to the others. When my glass broke I knew the guy at Shelby American who told me just to go to this company that is also Shell Valley. I can't remember the name of the parts group but if you call SV you'll get the same guy

Thanks Ozzie, just my luck. I hadn’t been able to join the FB group before as I just purchased the vehicle but I guess it’s about time to do so.
