Nice Shot. What stock number is this car and how long have you had it. I'm currently looking at cobras to buy and am very interested in the Backdraft. Is it a daily driver?

Its number 65. I just got it on the 9th of Dec. Not going to be a daily driver, probably a weekend warriar. GREAT car. I dont know what could be up graded. All the hood, trunk, door lines are even, solid on bumps, stable at high speed, Its a great product in every aspect. I have not seen any backdrafts built by other dealers but I can say that the one I got from Anthem motors could not be improved upon. Good luck and hapy hunting. Its the best thing I ever did!

Very Nice looking cobra. Could you tell us what options you
went with and which engine you chose. Anything you would
do differently next time?

My options were ceramic coating the headers, oil cooler, original shifter, ac steering cap, ac shift knob, I think thats it? As for engines I used a 392 stroker SVO engine. That 392 package came with tremec tranny, msd box, alum pulleys, vic jr intake, roller cam. Nice set up. The car was very well equipped as a roller, even had floor mats! I wouldnt do anything different if I did it again. Have a good holiday! Buddie

Buddie, I just got BDR #93 that is titanium/black with the same 392 crate option. The car runs excellent. I had a 3.9 gear installed in mine. The sound of the car is excellent at idle or into the throttle. It came out better than I had hoped for. Good luck, Todd

Todd, Yea, they run good. I thought about lower gears but after getting it I can light tires up in 1st or second gear (and 2nd gear tops out about 70 mph) so 3.10 gears are low enough for such a light car with lots of torque. I do cruise in town in 3rd gear though....probably any gear would be fine with a 5 speed and a stroker. I am going to change jets this week, its a litle lean (was tuned at about 2000 feet) and we are almost at sea level here in arkansas...Post some pics when you can and good luck with your new backdraft! Who did the engine install????

The 392 runs very well. I am changing out jets now on the 770 street avenger, It was a little lean for my altitude. Congrats on your BDR jmkingpin, Welcome to the gang!!!

More detailed pictures of bullseyeprec's BDR can be found -->HERE<-- .

I visited Buddie and his Cobra this last Saturday for about 1.5 hours. I must say I'm impressed with the quality of BDR and so were about 7 others passing by. I'm standing there with buddie in his driveway and over the course of an hour 3 cars pulled over to see it, and 4 people just walking by just had to stair.

As a graphic designer I have an extreme eye for detail and pretty much a perfectionist in every way. And after inspecting every inch of the BDR throughly I would have to say that everything is perfect. But I would like to point out some areas for BDR to improve in.
1. The dash covering seems to be coming loss. Maybe not enough spray adhesive applied.
2. To much caulking applied under the stainless steel plating in the engine bay. The caulking is forsed out from underneth the plating and looks a little messy.
3. Doors don't seal. I could see light through the bottom. Is this normal for most Cobras?
4. This is stretching here, but the pipe for the radiator and headers for crush bent and not mandrel bent.

Over all I think its an excellent bang for the buck and is still my number 1 choice.

Anthem got the headers from reg at backdraft. I do know he had them jet coated before putting them on. He had to use several headers before he got one that fit well. The 1st 3 sets didnt fit or hit the frame. He used the 4th set and had to tweak them a little to get them in the middle of the cutout in the body. Very good looking now, I would have been really freaked out if I had bought the roller and had headers hitting the frame...Glad I had a pro assemble it! Thanks for the compliments!

Hi all

Great photo

Had a good look at BDR at Run N Gun both the car competing and the display.

Sure looks a good product you have got onto there.

Getting harder and harder for you guys to make a decision with all the good local and o/s product.

Cheers

Bernie
