Question Seeking information please

I just purchased a Backdraft roller (before the price increase ) and will be installing the engine and tranny myself (with a little help). Has anyone done the same? I've seen a lot of posts where people had the dealer do the install.

I'm looking for some insight that may avoid any pitfalls. I have a 1972 Ford 302 block that I bored .030" over and I am doing a carb set up of the Edelbrock Performer RPM build. I am mating that to a T-5 HD.

Do motor mounts come with the roller? If not, what brand/style are right for a Backdraft?
Is the rear Tranny mount on the roller or do I need to get one?
Has anyone added a driveshaft safety loop to their Backdraft?

I think you can see where I'm going here. Even though the roller is advertised to only need engine and tranny; What do I really need?

Any help with the "unknown" would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Good Morning.
The 03' cars include:
Motor mounts
Tranny cross member
Gauge Sensors
Radiator Hoses/Lines
Headers
Sidepipes
Shifter Ring

You will need the following:
Mustang tranny mount
Lokar trottle cable
Electric Fuel pump
Fuel line/regulator
Shifter Handle
Shifter Knob
Emblem for center of Steering wheel

The 04' cars include these, but you'll need them:
Driveshaft
Clutch Slave
Driveshaft Hoops

I think this covers it, hope it helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

BTW: Congradulations. Let the fun begin...

Boudy

Boudy,

I have BDR #123 on order. Yep, I'm smiling. Reg and Frank had told me the driveshaft and the clutch slave cyl. came with the car. If I am wrong please let me know. I also plan to do the engine drop. Oops , bad choise of words. I plan to do the engine/trans install my self. The engine is in the barn awaiting the body.

Thanks,

David
