Right-hand drive
Hey Boudy-
Just got a wild hair...
How cool would a right-hand drive BDR be?
Talk about unique!
You know, I think I might be more than half-serious...
Probably not practical, though.
Contact me, Dude, I gotta get some seat time before I cut the check!

Ohhh noooooo
I can just see Boudy banging his head on his desk mumbling "not another one ... not another one ... not anoth ....."
It's possible. I've even now got a (gasp) FFR builder thinking about going to the other side. No not a BDR, dang it, the other side of the car - he keeps mentioning it to me when I visit his build ......
Just out of curousity UT what's making you think of changing seats ? For me it's 20+ years of driving from the right.
regards
Doug I

Doug-
Sometimes strange things fall out of my formerly Hippy (now Republican) head.
Like, into a four-wheel drift, punch the clutch, reach with your right hand for the shifter, and open the door at 80 MPH.
Or a custom licence plate with the letters printed backward, me in the driver's seat, smiling at the photographer behind the car.
It could happen.

Okiesnake-
I live in the Atoka Metroplex, about 30 miles north of the Red River. Atoka is not the end of the earth, but you can see it from the south end of town.
All 3,200 of us celebrated when we got our third traffic light.
We used to have some wild night life, but she moved back to Dallas.
The quickest car in town is my college girl's '02 V-6 Mustang, white, black bra, Eagle rims, power chip, custom window tint.
I know, because I street race it in Sherman, Texas.
If she races it, she's grounded.
I'm paying for it, I'll run it if I want to. Momma thinks I am doing "nice things" to keep the Little Girl's car in good shape while she is in college. Yeah, right.
I'd be in line for a BDR if BOUDY would call me!!!

UT,
I'm a little farther west in Lawton. Not a whole lot of Cobra's in Oklahoma.

I hope all this RHD talk didn't scare him away.
I know he's been very busy recently. Good guy to deal with :-)

visit south-africa,
buy a used one over here.
or fly to Germany in march when I sent mine over there.
excellent handling, better than the 2001 BDR, mine has been built in 1996 by Doug Serrouier, who was a great driver / builder.
based on a KCC chassis and BMW front suspension, double wishbones rear, equal length.
2200 lbs weight.
I was dicing a GT3 the other day on the backroads. he won :-)
dom, cape town

Hi Guys. Sorry, I was on the road this weekend. RHD is possible. The factory has built several for the market over seas. My only caution to advise is resale value.

Hey Boudy
Resale Value - RHD would make it way too high for people to be able to buy it ?
I can see it being so ..... A damn fine car to start with and then it being unique within the brand
We'll see ya at NPR in March. Should have some of the local FFR guys there - at least 1 with his car (probably only Friday) so you can give them/him a whippin' although he is the area SCCA champ. We're bringing the coffee and Sue is making some of her special Jambalaya
regards
Doug

I tell you what Doug, you put an add in the paper for a RHD Backdraft Racing Roadster for $20,000. If you get 1 call, tell em' you sold it and I'll pay for the add.
It's always harder to sell these cars when they are off the norm. Period. Your theory of it being rare is OK, but it defies what we experience everyday selling these cars.
See ya in March.
Boudy
