Default No brake lights on new car

Hey gang my brake lights just went out on #211. I remember seeing other posts about this issue. What was finally the outcome or best solution?

If all other lights are still working, I would check the brake light switch. I am not sure where yours may be mounted, but I have seen everything from a bad switch to a wire coming loose. If the switch and wires are good, try measuring the voltage through the switch with the brake pedal pushed down. You could possibly have a short to ground in the wiring.

You will have to look and see if you have a pressure switch on the master cylinder or if you have the new pull switch that is under the dash and hooked up via a spring on the brake pedal first.

I'm pretty sure car number 200 and beyond has this new switch setup to combat the pressure switch failures. My car #208 is this way.

Check the wires on the pressure switch. One of mine came off. If that is the problem just slightly tighten up the sta-kon connector and slip it back over the switch spade.
It solved my problem with no frurther difficulties.
