I bought 2 ray dot mirrors with windshield mount brackets (the flat style). After looking at the car from several angles I decided to scrap the idea and use one mirror on the fender mount (driver side of course). I just didn't like the look of the window mount position. As for the rear fender obstruction comments this is how I see it: The driver side mirror is designed (on any car) to be aimed more so to your blind spot rather than directly behind you. The dash mirror is for seeing directly behind you. If you aim your driver side mirror to the blind spot, the rear fender is not even in the view at all. It is not supposed to be. On standard autos, the passenger side mirror is always a wide angle mirror (objects are closer than they appear!) so when you aim it in your blind spot, you can still see the side of your car or rear fender. Unfortunately, on a Cobra a passenger side fender mount mirror is obstructed greatly by the windshield frame and windwings, so if it is mounted semetrically to the driver side mirror is is pretty useless. The way to fix that is to mount both fender mirrors forward enough to see them both. Unfortunately, that doesn't look right to me either. My final decision was to only mount one fender mirror and point it in the true blind spot and rely soley on the dash mirror for rear view directly behind me. I just make an effort to check over my right shoulder before I switch lanes to the right. After all, how did we get along with only one driver side mirror for all those years growing up. Two outside mirrors only became standard on all cars in the mid to late 80's. Besides fighter pilots don't even use rear view mirrors! Of course there is no right or wrong. Just my $.02 worth.
