Don't know the size off hand but the cooler that Reg sells is the best fit and the AN lines are 6 or 8.

Finish Line can make a shroud that fits pretty well.

Do you remember what you paid for that combo? Does Reg have a price worked out yet.

It wasn't a combo. I paid $135 for the cooler and $125 for the shroud from Finishline. Had Robert at Keith Kraft do the install.

I got the mocal and shroud from finish line. The mocal is 10AN. Some folks say that you really should go 12AN to ensure the best flow, others say 10AN is adequate. It's winter here in CT and my car hasn't come off the blocks yet so I can't say for sure whether or not 10AN was the right choice, but I suspect it will be fine for the street.

I am running a small block, maybe a monster engine like a 427 or 460 needs the larger diameter?

Mocal at Finish Line is good quality for a reasonable price. However, you are better of getting the fittings and hose at Summit. The shroud at Finish Line also looks very nice and have seen a few pics of cars with it installed. Looks good and the price is now $75. From what I have learned, Magoo nailed it about line size.

Anyone have a lead for the inline thermostat?

Mr Magoo
Did you install yourself (difficulty factor, much bending and tweaking to fit a BDR?) How does it look?

Trueoo7 :

I am not the sharpest wrench in the toolbox but I managed to install the cooler and shroud pretty satisfactorily. The shroud required some snipping to get it to fit in my venom (similar to your BDR I presume). It took me about 6 hours to install the cooler itself, another twelve or so to do the hoses and fittings.

I had to install a remote oil filter due to clearance problems at the filter. And of course I did a thermostat too.

I would say the key thing is to take your time, and plan everything out, as far as where you need to run your hoses, where you want to mount your thermostat, etc. You need to have a good idea of how to route the hoses when you order your hose end fittings to get the right number of elbows, straights, etc.

Make sure you plumb the thing correctly and dont cross the hoses!

I had to learn how to do Aeroquip reusable fittings and braided hose, which was fun. Other than that the skills required seem pretty basic.

I think then end result looks pretty good. I'll send you some pics if you like.

Good Luck.
