Default Clutch shutter

147 miles on it. Still waiting on the tags to arrive. Driving around the development pulled into the drive about mid way. Now my drive has a slight incline. When letting out the clutch the car begins to shake. This doesn't happen on level ground or putsing around the development. Any Ideas? Have checked motoe mount bolts transmission mount bolts all seem intact. Seems like everytime I leave the garage I find something new...Darn its getting frustrating working through these issues..

Do you have a ceramic clutch? Long style? If so, its not an issue, its the norm. Rev the engine more. It helps. I changed my clutch to a Ramm. Its a long style clutch. Thats when my chatter started. It gets worse when it is hot. If anyone knows of a fix I would like to hear it.

I have a Ram clutch and had the same issue when it was new!! It would literally shake the car to pieces no matter how easy I let it out!!!

I called Race Parts Dist. where I got it and Neal McLean told me that most High Performance clutches require "Burning In" especially in light cars??

He told me to make several hard launches with 3000-4000 RPM's and try not to spin the tires (burn the clutch)......It really worked and after a year or more NO SHUDDER!!!

Give it a try...you may be pleasantly surprised??

Good Luck!!

I agree, I had a little shutter when I first drove the car, but a couple of "rapid acceleration" type moves and it went away.

Now I have new problems.

Good luck.

Talking

Tru,

What promptly went away? The chatter or the clutch?

Guys,
Thanks for all the replies. I have a Macleod clutch and don't think it is ceramic. Maybe I am just babying the thing to much. Think I'll take her out tomorrow for a little more romp than usual. Will et you know the outcome.
