I also have a Superformance Cobra, but I have 18 PSI in the tires for normal driving and they work very well at that pressure. For road racing, use 25 PSI. All pressures cold, not hot. This info from the owners manual. You did get one????

BDR Tire Pressure Recomedations
Ed,
Armond at CA Cobra recommended the following tire pressures for the BFG Radial T/A 15" tires.
Front BFG P235/60R15 = 28 PSI
Rear BFG P295/50R15 = 25 PSI
I have used these recommendations and they seem to work very well for me.

With the BFG 15" wheels I use 32psi all around. Tried different combo's from 26psi on up. The grip (if you can call it that with the BFGs) is not noticably different, but the response is much better than the low pressures.

Well, I can see all the answers probably just cleared up the old tire pressure question with no doubt! Ha! It looks to me like a Backdraft with its BMW based suspension will have its own set of tire pressure settings. So, I can only agree with Secret Squirrel and go with 28 front and 25 rear. Of course, I got the same numbers from his source, Armond at California Cobra. My car runs and sticks great at this pressure. But play around with it some, you may have better luck with other settings.

Considering the light weight of the car and the larger than normal size of the tires I would think that anything over low 20s is reducing the contact patch a lot.

I probably don't have the optimal contact patch, but the stripes on the pavement cover the whole tread width and radial tires aren't as sensitive to pressure as the bias ply. The difference between 26# and 32# is dramatic. But then I don't have a Backdraft and they may react to tire pressures differently.
