I think he was mounting it to the chassis some how, that is bad since it will contribute to chatter.

Hi Ed,
Mine just arrived.
It took me longer to figure out how to snake it into place than to actually install it. About 5 minutes between thinking about it, taking out the four top screws, snaking it in place, putting the four screws back in, plus buffing it up with a little Mother' aluminum polish. It looks great and should really deflect the heat away from the master cylinder.
You did a great piece of engineering and fabrication on this.
Everyone who gets one will be as impressed as I was, I'm sure. If you have a Backdraft, you NEED to get one of these!!!
Ed, thanks again for thinking about the "less handy than Ed" among us and supplying this to us!

Doesn't seem I can use one of these. that stationary sleeve that the steering column runs through does not exist on my car. earlier car, #31.
