Default removing and coating headers/side pipes

Can the headers on a mid one hundred serial number Backdraft car be removed with out major issues. The car I'm looking at has headers that are not coated, and a bit rusty What to know how difficult, can they be coated after being used and the potential cost of coating.

The coater will blast them if they are new anyway so the fact they are used does not add additional cost there. The question of removal is dictated by whether it is a 302 or 351W? 302s come out real easy, 351Ws require some additonal work on the driver side header to snake it out.

it's a 351...how much extra work? Removing some attached parts like......

The steering column has to be pulled back--if the hole in the dash isn't big enough for the wire end on the turn signal harness to go thru, you can take the pins out of the end--just mark the wires/color/position so you can re install them
