Owners Registry
We are wanting to create and maintain an owners registry for our cars. There have been several cars sold through dealers and also used cars that have been resold where we are no longer in contact with the current owners.
If you know somebody who owns a BDR if you could please ask them to call 561-752 3693 or to e-mail owners@backdraftracing.com . We are looking for an address, contact no,e-mail and vin no/build no of the car.
The owners registry will allow us to update the customers with any product developments or updates we may have in the future.
Regards Reg Dodd

Backdraft owners,
I am surprised no one else has sent the information to Reg. Why?

Skip,
Maybe they are too busy out driving, instead of on the Internet like us.
Cheers!

Reg
I emailed mine to you today. I think this is a great idea and would like to hear about upgrades and also more info on a parts list for my era of build
Skip: I was not able to get mine in because I have been to busy driving the beast. I have got to make up some time because of having it laid up for 2 weeks and then 2 weeks vacation.

Ron, I don't think you will find many people to concur with that statement. All the guys at BDR have great to all of us with support, upgrades and fixes and at their expense many times many months after the sale. I will admit being frustrated a couple times with the speed of the response, but they have always stood by their cars.
What seems to be the problem? Maybe we can help.

I'm frustrated that my emails do not get returned (they go to there spam folder) my calls do not get returned. My requests for upgrades are not handled. These are from a group out of FL. Bill Littleton is doing a great job on handling them. So don't tell me there all good unless you have dealt with all of them. I'm a loyal BRD owner for a year and 4 months. I love my BD I don't think any body builts a better one. I can't comunicate my problems with the car if I don't get follow up calls. I'm frustrated and I like those guys which hurts. I should not have to follow up on every thing. I've got 3400 miles on the car now. Enough said. Just frustraded. I feel better now.
I'll call those FL boys Monday and clear the air.
Thanks for letting me vent.
Ron

They are very difficult to get immediate responses from. Reason: sales and production are tremendous. They have addressed all issues that I've had so far with the exception of one that I am sure they will address soon. They are quite busy building new cars and I'm sure they won't forget about us (their current customer base). Once their reputation for reliable, dependable follow through is sullied, they won't sell many more. I'd never have bought one had current owners felt abandoned and verbalized their dissatisfaction in this forum. For that reason, I have no doubt they will make things right for you and find a way to handle simultaneous objectives (new production and customer service). I've met them all and they are good guys. There are only so many hours in any day. I'll stand by them until they disappoint me. Right now, I'm still on their side......

Was in Fla. area last week for a vacation and stopped in for a look around. Left my info in person. They had 12 cars in various forms of completion in the shop, including one with the first hardtop in the U.S. Very nice fit and finish, car was also fitted for A/C from the factory. Never realized cars come into the U.S. with no rearends installed, that gets done here. Very helpful bunch of guys down there, gave me a lot of tips.

Sorry to say I forgot my camera. As for tips, long story short they told me you can't overfill the rearend as there is a vent on the top that would allow it to escape. Banging noise over bumps every once in a while in the rear, they told me to spin my coil springs 90deg and see if that helps, may be hitting the perch. Also talked about some engine mods. There was one car there they showed me that had supposedly a $10K stereo system in it. Tweeters, woofers, GPS, Bluetooth, you name it. The whole trunk was nothing but stereo gear, very nicely done.
