The factory recommended maintenance is at the following intervals:

- First Drive
- 100 Miles
- 500 Miles

Outlined in your Owner's Manual. Since you bought it used I would do the 500 mile checklist and then you should be good to go.

I would change the oil, non systhinic at this point (wait till you have 3-4,000miles on it for sythinic).
Then take it out and wind the P*ss out of it!

Jay:

I don't see a factory recommended schedule for maintenance in my BDR's Owner's Manual (#168).

Is this something you can post here for all to see?

Thx!

Break in is over. Keep your oil changed with a straight 30wt.

Rings don't need the breakin like they used to. Instead of hard pulls and backing of they just recommend moderate driving for 500 miles. The critical breakin is the camshaft. FYI With plenty of moly on the lobes and a primed oil system you idle the car to operating temp looking for leaks and obvious noises. Bump the idle to 1800 rpm and let it run for 10-15 minutes. Even a fresh dragstrip engine will get a cam breakin before running.

I would like one if it has to do with chassis things. I did oil changes at 500, 1000 and 2500. Switched to Mobil One at 2500.

Hey Wayne, How are things?

Jay,

Thanks for the manual, it is different from the one that I got with #144. I found that the wiring diagram did not copy well. But, I found the clear copy of it in your gallery.

Al,
Doing great here! How about you? Going to WSCB 07? I am planning on it.
